45 years old male, renal trauma.

Separation of the upper and lower renal pole. The fracture extends through the left renal pelvis. A large peri- and para-nephric haematoma on the left extends to the anterior mesentery, left paracolic gutter and to the pelvis. The spleen is displaced anteriorly and laterally.

Normal appearances of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, adrenals and right kidney. No bone fracture within the region scanned.
